B. Installation ofWires Into New Plugs and Receptacles- Reference Notes 2 and 4 Above1. Inspect the condition of each pin or socket removed from the old connector. If a pin or socket shows evidence of either corrosion, short-circuiting or is in any way damaged remove it and replace with either a new pin or socket as required.2. Insert the wire with its pin or socket into the hole of the new connector that corresponds to the position where it was removed from the old connector. By hand, firmly push the wire into the rubber component of the connector until the pin or socket engages with the internal latches of the connector. C. Repeat the above steps for each wire of the harness.III. Electrical Check of Machine after Rework
The following tests will help confirm electrical circuits affected by the above repair are operating correctly. If an electrical circuit was non-functional prior to this repair, the cause of the malfunction could be a faulty component within the circuit other then the harness connectors. Therefore, if a single circuit continues to malfunction after the repair, a component other then the wiring harness could be the cause.
A.MAN:
All implements should be operable with the Manual Mode in both the ON and OFF positions.
B.A/C (If equipped)
With the temperature selection switch at a setting lower then ambient, the air conditioning compressor clutch should engage when this function is turned ON.
B.A/C (If equipped)
With the AEC function enabled and the engine RPM set at high idle, the engine speed should automatically drop to low idle several seconds after the last hydraulic actuation. If the AEC function is disabled, the engine speed should correspond to the position of the Speed Dial Potentiometer.
D. Heater Blower
The heater blower should operate at all 3 speeds.
E. Stabilizer/Dozer (if equipped) :
The stabilizer or dozer blade can not be operated by the left console lever anymore. Once turned OFF, all stabs & blade can be operated again.
F. Heavy Lift(if equipped) :
Once this function is turned ON, the Heavy Lift mode displayed in the PDT (PROC Menu) or in the M300 Technician (Status Screen) must turn ON as well. If the speed dial potentiometer is turned at High Idle, the electronic would automatically reduce the engine speed to a lower range.
G. Windshield wipers and washers:
The windshield wiper(s) and washer pump(s) must be able to be operated.
H. Hydraulic Modes :
When switching to Mode I or II with the right console switchorto mode III when traveling, the "Mode" displayed in the PDT (PROC Menu) or in the M300 Technician (Status Screen)must respectively display "1", "2" or "3".
assuming all internal
