Install cartridge (25). Apply Tooling (A) onto orifice (24). Install orifice (24). Tighten orifice (24) to a torque of 2 +0.5 - 0.0 N m (18 +4 -0 lb in).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install spring (23), spool assembly (22), O-ring seal (21), and plug (20). Tighten plug (20) to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).

Install ball (19). Install stop (18). Tighten stop (17) to a torque of 19 4 N m (14 3 lb ft).

Install O-ring seals (17). Install coil assembly (16). Install nut (15). Tighten nut (15) to a torque of 13 1.5 N m (115 13 lb in).

Install solenoid valve (14). Tighten solenoid valve (14) to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft). Install O-ring seal (13) and O-ring seal (12).

Install plate (11) and reducing valve (10). Install bolts (9). Tighten bolts (9) to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb ft).

Install spool (6), spring (5), and slug (4).
Install O-ring seal (3), plate (2), and bolts (1). Tighten bolts (1) to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb ft). End By:
Install the retarder hydraulic control valve.
