Contamination to a closed loop hydraulic system can cause serious damage to the hydraulic motor and to the hydraulic pump.In order to prevent damage to the hydraulic motor and to the hydraulic pump, perform the flushing procedure whenever any hydraulic oil line or any hydraulic connections have been opened.
For the flushing procedure, refer to the Testing and Adjusting, "Auger Hydraulic System - Flush".Charge pump (8) is mounted on piston pump (14) for the auger. Charge pump (8) is driven by piston pump (14) for the auger.

(5) Charge relief valve (7) Charge pump filterHydraulic oil from charge pump (8) flows to charge pump filter (7). Charge pump filter (7) is equipped with a bypass valve. When the differential pressure across the charge pump filter reaches 172 kPa (25 psi), oil flow is diverted around charge pump filter (7). Then, the hydraulic oil flows to charge relief valve (5). The hydraulic oil also flows to the control valve for piston pump (14) for the auger.

Auger drive (17) Hydraulic oil flow from the piston pump comes in the manifold that is mounted on piston motor (3) for the auger. Crossover relief valves (2) are mounted in the manifold. Then, the hydraulic oil flows to piston motor (3) for the auger. Piston motor (3) for the auger is bolted to auger drive (17). Auger drive (17) operates at a ratio of 57:1.

(10) Case drain filter for the motorCase drain filter (10) for the motor is located above the hitch on the left side of the machine.Case drain oil from piston motor (3) for the auger flows through case drain filter (10) for the motor. Then, the hydraulic oil returns to the hydraulic oil tank. If case drain filter (10) for the motor becomes plugged, a bypass valve will open. The bypass valve is inside of the filter base.
