Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure - Remove and Install".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Loosen clamp (1) from muffler (2) .

Remove bolts (3) from muffler (2) .

Remove bolts (4) from muffler (2). Use two people or a suitable lifting device in order to remove muffler (2). The weight of muffler (2) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Use two people or a suitable lifting device in order to install muffler (2). The weight of muffler (2) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb). Install muffler (2) and bolts (4).

Install bolts (3) on muffler (2) .

Tighten clamp (1) on muffler (2) .End By: Install the engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure - Remove and Install".
