Information:
6. Use 8X6082 Tube Assembly (3) to locate 8X6083 Block (4). 7. Fasten 8X6083 Block (4) to the truck frame with a 6 mm (.24 in) fillet weld all around. Bolt 2V0600 Clip (5) to the block for vertical member of tube assembly (3) on inside of left hand frame rail. 8. Connect 8X6081 Hose Assembly (6) to 6G1444 Adapter on top oil cooler and to 8X6082 Tube Assembly (3) with bent end of hose down.Electrical
Electrical Schematic for switches (part of SENR4285 or SENR4286).1. Using 5P5623 Wire and 1P2305 Connector Kit, connect the switches together according to the wiring diagram shown above. Use 6V7939 tape to mark the wires. Install the wires in the appropriate size loom and secure the loom to existing harnesses as needed with 3S2093 tie wraps. Solder the crimped connections for the most reliable joints. 2. Measure distance to torque converter outlet screen by running wire loosely to switch on screen, starting at the cab ground bus. Cut the wire and run it through the looms.Install crimp-on connectors on both ends. Connect it to the ground bus and first pole of the switch at location (A). 3. Connect wire from second pole of torque converter outlet screen at location (B) to the left hoist screen switch at location (C).Connect wire from left hoist screen at location (D) to right hoist screen at location (E). 4. Connect wire from right hoist screen at location (F) to torque converter inlet filter at location (G). 5. Disconnect the black ground wire (201 BK) from the transmission supply switch at location (J) on the transmission filter and tape the end away from the switch.6. Connect a wire from the torque converter inlet filter at location (H) to the former ground post of transmission supply filter at location (J).Testing
To test system after complete installation, start truck and allow it to run until operating temperatures have been reached. At operating temperatures, remove one wire from each switch. The EMS transmission oil filter alert indicator should go on each time.Repeat this procedure for each switch; TC inlet filter, LH hoist, RH hoist and TC outlet screen to make sure that all wiring is correct.Operation
During normal operation of the vehicle, the complete system will operate as follows:1. The transmission supply filter is the main supply filter for the transmission system. The filter switch is held closed by the bypass spool and spring iodide the filter housing base. This spool reacts to the differential pressure across the filter element. Once the bypass spool starts to move towards the bypass position, the switch contacts will open and signal the operator with the Transmission Oil Filter alert indicator.2. The torque converter inlet filter prevents any debris generated by the torque converter pump or present in the system from entering the torque converter. Should debris begin to gather in the filter, the differential pressure change inside the filter housing will be detected by the new switch. When this differential pressure across the filter reaches the switch set
