Droop
This parameter allows the engine to operate in a load sharing system.
Table 16
Minimum Default Maximum
0.0 0.0 10 Fuel Position Multiplier
This parameter decreases the power output from the engine by reducing the fuel. This parameter is used to control the driven equipment. A decrease in engine power does not require a change in the throttle.
Table 17
Minimum Default Maximum
Disabled Disabled Enabled Engine Acceleration Rate
This parameter limits the rate of change for the desired engine speed. This parameter may also help reduce smoke when you start the engine.
Table 18
Minimum Default Maximum
1 rpm per second 250 rpm per second 2000 rpm per second Cooling Warning Engine Load Enable
This parameter is used to issue a warning to the operator that to much load has been added to the engine before the jacket water has reached the proper operating temperature of 75 °C (167 °F) or greater.
Table 19
Minimum Default Maximum
5% 40% 95% Throttle
The parameter is used to decide whether the continuous throttle or the multi-position throttle will be used. Table 21 defines notch speeds for a multi-position throttle.

Note: The injector trim code is not part of the "Configuration" screen on Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET). "Injector Codes Calibration" can be found under "Calibrations" in the "Service" menu on Cat ET.The injector trim code is a number that is found on each of the unit injectors. The ECM uses this number to compensate for manufacturing variations between individual injectors. If you replace any of the unit injectors, you must reprogram the injector trim codes for the new injectors. Also, if you replace the ECM, you must reprogram all of the injector trim codes.
