HEATER GP-JACKET WATER 3773038 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the precleaner cover. Remove the hood. Turn the valve for fuel supply to the "OFF" position. Disconnect fuel line (3) from fuel filter base (2). Disconnect hose (4) from the top of the fuel tank. Remove the bolt and washer (1) and (5) that holds the bracket to the fuel tank. 2. Disconnect electrical connection (9). Remove bolts and washers (12), (11) and (7). Disconnect ether tube (6) from valve assembly (8).3. Remove bolts and washers (14). Remove plate (13) from the fuel tank and the frame. 4. Disconnect ether tube (16). Remove bolt and washer (15) that holds the ether tube to the bottom of the fuel tank.5. Remove bolts (18) that hold the plug assembly (20) to plate (19).6. Remove bolts and washers (17). Remove plate (19) from the fuel tank and the frame. 7. Remove the coolant from the radiator to a level below the water temperature regulator.8. Remove the clamps from each end of tube (21). Remove the bolt and washer that holds the clip to the fuel tank. Remove tube (21).9. Disconnect tube assembly (25).10. Remove bolts, washers and nuts (22). Remove plate (23).11. Remove bolts, washers, mountings and nuts (24). 12. Install tool (A). Remove bolt, washers and nut (26), from both sides of the hydraulic tank. Remove the fuel tank. The weights of the empty fuel tanks are: 14G, 200 kg (440 lbs.); 16G, 246 kg (540 lbs.).Install Fuel Tank
1. Position the fuel tank on the machine. Install two bolts, washers and nuts (26) that hold the fuel tank to the frame.2. Remove tool (A) from the fuel tank.3. Position tube (21) and install clamps (28) on each end of tube (21). Position clip (29) and install bolt and washer (27). 4. Position plate (23) and install bolts, washers and nuts (22).5. Install bolts, washers, mountings and nuts (24).6. Connect tube assembly (25). 7. Position plate (19) and install bolts and washers (17). Position plug assembly (20) and install bolts (18) that hold the plug assembly to plate (19).8. Connect ether tube (16) and install bolt and washer that holds the ether tube to the bottom of the fuel tank. 9. Position plate (13) and install bolts and washers (14).10. Connect electrical connection (9).12. Connect ether tube (6) to valve assembly (8).13. Install bolt and washer (12) that holds the clip and the ether tube to the bottom of the fuel tank.14. Install bolt and washer (7), (10) and (11) that holds the clips and the wire harness to the fuel tank. 15. Connect hose (4) to the top of the fuel tank. Connect fuel line (3) to fuel filter base (2). Install the bolts and washers (1) and (5) that secure the filter base and the fuel tank.16. Turn the valve for fuel supply to the "ON" position.17. Fill the radiator to its correct level.18. Install the hood. Install the precleaner cover.
