Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Start the engine.

Engine speed dial
Set the engine speed dial at "10".
Lower the left console.
Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors for the best vision close to the machine.
Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 46° to 60° C (115° to 140° F).
Fully extend the bucket cylinder and place the bucket on the ground.
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
Raise the left console.

Pressure taps are located below the seat in the second cab
Connect tooling (T1) 3,445 kPa (500 psi) pressure sensor to the travel pilot pressure tap.
Check to ensure the mechanical back-up lever on the travel activation valve is in the vertical position.

Connect tooling (T2) to the service connector.Test Procedure
Start the engine.
Set the engine speed dial at "10".
Lower the rail axles in order that all tires are fully off the ground, and shunt the road mode, and/or the implement in order to raise the front axle and the rear axle. This action will allow the wheels to turn freely.Note: All tires must be fully off the ground.
Fully extend the bucket cylinder and place the bucket on the ground.
Start Electronic Technician.
Select the "Machine ECM" from the list of available controls.
From the top menu, select "Diagnostics".
From the pull-down menu, select "Diagnostic Test".
Select "Override Parameters".
Select "Travel Pilot Solenoid Current Override".
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.

Engine speed dial
Set the engine speed dial at "1".
Release the service brake pedal.
Press the travel pedal to the FULL FORWARD position.
Overwrite the current to the specified values shown in Table 1 and compare the pressure specification to the pressure reading from the pilot line for forward travel.
Press the travel pedal to the FULL REVERSE position.
Overwrite the current to the specified values shown in Table 1 and compare the pressure specification to the pressure reading from the pilot line for reverse travel.
