Carrier Roller For The Elevator (1) Arm (2) Holes (3) BoltTo tighten the chain, remove bolt (3). Move arm (1) toward the chain at the top. Install the bolt into one of the holes (2). The torque for the nut on bolt (3) is 410 to 430 N m (300 to 315 lb ft).If the chain is still loose, move the arm again. If the arm (1) has been moved all the way, remove a link from the chain. Remove the offset link from a new chain. One link changes the length of the chain approximately 100 mm (4 inch).When an adjustment is made for the chain on one side, the chain on the other side must have the same adjustment.The sprockets must be in alignment with the rollers or the chains will come off of the sprockets. To align the sprocket, loosen the four bolts in the carrier assembly for the sprocket on the right side. Move the carrier assembly to the correct alignment. The torque for the bolts on the carrier assembly is 510 to 540 N m (375 to 400 lb ft).
