start by:a) separation of tracks 1. Remove bolt (2), retainer (1), shims (4) and O-ring seal (3) from end of shaft. 2. Install tooling (A) on the sprocket. Fasten a hoist to the sprocket. Remove the sprocket with tooling (A). The weight of the sprocket is 160 lb. (72 kg).3. Remove the Duo-Cone seal from the sprocket and final drive bearing.Install Sprockets
1. Install the Duo-Cone seal in the sprocket and final drive bearing cage with tool (B). The rubber seals and all surfaces that make contact with the seals must be clean and dry. After installation of the seals, put oil on the contact surfaces of the metal seals. 2. Put 2P2506 Anti-Seize Compound on shaft and sprocket splines. Fasten a hoist to the sprocket. Put sprocket (1) in position on end of shaft. Install tooling (A). Push the sprocket into position on the shaft with a force of 30 10 ton (265 90 Kn). 3. Put three lengths of solder (2) with a diameter of .059 in. (1.50 mm) on end of shaft. Put a small amount of grease on the solder to hold it in place. Make sure the solder is toward the outside diameter of the shaft. 4. Install the bolt and retainer. Tighten the bolt to a torque of 100 lb.ft. (135 N m). Remove the bolt and retainer. Measure the thickness of the solder. Install shims that are the same thickness as the average thickness measured minus .001 to .004 in. (0.03 to 0.10 mm). Install the O-ring seal, retainer (4) and bolt (3). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 1200 120 lb.ft. (1620 160 N m).end by:a) connection of tracks
