When the parking brakes are released manually, the machine has no brakes. To avoid possible personal injury, the tracks must be blocked securely before the parking brakes are manually released.
To tow the machine, the following procedure must be performed prior to towing the machine.
Open the left access door.

Locate the valve for the brake release and associated plumbing.
Loosen locking ring (1) and turn adjusting knob (2) for the brake release clockwise until the adjusting knob (2) stops.
Use hand pump (3) that is located on the brake release group. Operate hand pump (3) until resistance is felt. Note: Only tow the machine at low speeds and for short distances.Note: Do not operate machine when the brakes have been released.
When finished towing the machine, reverse the steps in order to return the machine to normal operation.
