Track roller guide guards
D6T, D6R, and D6H SystemOne track roller guide guards can be reworked to allow for reuse with Heavy Duty Undercarriage.This rework may be performed instead of purchasing new Heavy Duty guards to help reduce costs if the undercarriage is being converted from SystemOne to Heavy Duty.

Heavy Duty guide guard
SystemOne guards have a different inside profile than Heavy Duty guards. Refer to Illustrations 2 and 3. If SystemOne guards are not modified and then installed with Heavy Duty track, excessive damage will occur to the Heavy Duty track pins and links.

(A) 279 3 mm (10.98 0.12 inch)The inside profile of the SystemOne guard should be removed so that dimension (A) is consistent throughout the full length of the guard. See Illustration 4. The preferred method is to use an automated cutting torch to ensure a consistent cut. After cutting, remove rough edges by grinding.

Bolt on idler guard wear strips
The SystemOne bolt-on wear strips on the idler guards (Illustration 6) also have a similar inside profile. However, the SystemOne wear strips should not be modified. Instead, new Heavy Duty bolt-on wear strips should be installed. The Heavy Duty wear strips are taller than SystemOne wear strips and provide proper guiding of the track.
