PROBLEM
The current 148-9390 Oil Level Gauge does not account for the variation that can occur during the oil fill process. The 148-9390 Oil Level Gauge can show oil in safe range, when the 148-9400 Output Transfer gear group has been overfilled.

Replace the 148-9390 Oil Level Gauge with the new 292-4721 Oil Level Gauge. Adjust the oil level in the Output Transfer Gear (OTG) using the procedure outlined in Service Magazine, SEPD0865, "Improved Oil Level Gauge for the Output Transfer Gear is Used."
The new 292-4721 Oil Level Gauge accounts for the variation in oil level readings based on different machine conditions, which will not allow for overfill.
