Operation of the machine and the maintenance of the machine must not occur unless the instructions and warnings in the machine's Operation and Maintenance Manual have been read and the instructions and the warnings are understood. The contents of this document must be understood before a machine that is equipped with the Product Link PL-102C is operated. Safety Label
The warning film can be found in a location that is clearly visible to the operator during the normal operation of the machine, such as the dash.

This machine is equipped with a Caterpillar Product Link communication device which must be deactivated within 2.5 m (8 ft) of a blast zone. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death.
If the machine is required to work within 2.5 m (8 ft.) of a blast area, then the operator must disable the Product Link PL-102C. One of the following are suggested methods in order to disable the Product Link PL-102C:
Disconnect the Product Link PL-102C module from the power source by disconnecting the wiring harness at the Product Link module.
Temporarily remove the Product Link PL-102C module from the machine.
Install a switch in the machine cab that will allow the Product Link PL-102C module to be turned off. Consult your Caterpillar Dealer if there are any questions. This warning does not supersede the published requirements or regulations found in "Title 30 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)". This warning does not allow deviation from the published requirements or regulations found in "Title 30 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)". A hazard assessment should be conducted by each customer. Every customer should meet all of the requirements of "Title 30 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR)" in order to ensure the safe storage, transportation, loading, and blasting of any explosive. The following Product Link PL-102C specifications are provided in order to aid in conducting any related hazard assessment and to ensure compliance with all local regulations.
The power rating for the Product Link PL-102C transmitter is 600 mWatts.
The operating frequency range for the Product Link PL-102C module is 824 MHz to 894 MHz. Operation Section
The Product Link PL-102C is a cellular based communication device that is capable of two-way communication between the machine and a remote user. The remote user can be a dealer or a customer. At any time, a user can request updated information from a machine such as hours of use or the location of the machine. The Product Link PL-102C contains a global positioning system. Also, the system parameters for Product Link PL-102C can be changed. Data is transmitted from the machine to a cellular network. The data is transmitted to the service provider. The service provider transmits the data to Caterpillar, Inc.. The data can then be
