Located Inside the Operator Station in the Access Panel on the FloorHydraulic oil to the rotor brake is supplied by the auxiliary hydraulic pump. The hydraulic tank stores the oil for the brake circuit. The brake release pump will release the rotor brake. This pump can operate with the engine off and the service switch for the rotor in the ON position. The engine start switch must be in the ON position.The rotor brake is spring applied and hydraulic oil releases the brake. The rotor brake is controlled by the ECM. While the engine start switch is in the OFF position, check valve (1) is spring returned. This allows the rotor brake to be spring applied when the machine is shutdown. When the engine start switch is in the ON position, check valve (1) is energized. Oil can flow in either direction.As the rotor is disengaged, the rotor brake is automatically engaged. When the rotor is activated, control valve (2) is automatically energized. When control valve (2) is energized, the rotor brake is released. Hydraulic pressure to the rotor brake is controlled by the pressure compensator in the auxiliary hydraulic pump.
