An alternative to installing the 357-7145 Carrier As is to modify the current 275-5519 Carrier As. The only feature change on the 357-7145 Carrier As is to make the pocket that contains the 257-8660 Thrust Bearing deeper.In order to reuse the old 275-5519 Carrier As, machine the bearing pocket to the depth of 11 0.25 mm (0.4331 0.00984 inch). Refer to the callout (A) in Illustration 2. The new 350-8540 Wave Spring is also used.
