Hydraulic oil is supplied by the host machine through auxiliary hydraulic lines. When hydraulic pressure is supplied to port (A), the gerotor motor (3) rotates clockwise when you view the motor from the shaft end. The roller frame will rotate in a reverse direction. The rotating force is transfered to the roller frame via a chain and sprockets. When hydraulic pressure is supplied to port (B), the gerotor motor rotates counterclockwise when you view the motor from the shaft end. The roller frame will rotate in the forward direction.Angle Operation
In order for the power rake to angle, the roller frame must be operating. Hydraulic oil is supplied from the host machine through the auxiliary hydraulic lines. Hydraulic oil pressure is available at the directional control valve (10). When the directional control valve is activated, hydraulic oil flows to the hydraulic cylinders (8). This causes the rotor to angle left or right. Activation of the control valve determines the direction that the roller frame will angle. Two orifices (2) are placed in the control manifold in order to restrict the flow to the hydraulic cylinders. The orifices limit the speed of the cylinders. A relief valve (7) is used to prevent the hydraulic cylinders from damage once the power rake reaches the maximum angle of rotation.
