44. If necessary, remove oil ring (58), ring (59) and sleeve (60) from shaft (52).45. Disassemble shaft assembly (54) by removing the pin, and separating shaft (56) from drive key (57).46. If necessary, remove bushing (62) from thrust block (51).47. If necessary, remove bushing (61) and sleeve (63) from shaft (47).Assemble Drum Assembly
1. Install oil ring (58), ring (59) in shaft (52). Install sleeve (60) on shaft (52).2. Assemble shaft assembly (54) by installing drive key (57) on shaft (56), and installing the pin.3. Install bushing (62) in thrust block (51).4. Install bushing (61) in shaft (47). Install sleeve (63) on the shaft. 5. Position shaft (52) on Tooling (A) and (G) as shown.6. Put spring (55) in position in shaft (52). 7. Put a thin coat of 5P-0960 Multipurpose Grease on the sliding surface of shaft assembly (54). Install shaft assembly (54) in shaft (52). 8. Shaft (52) and thrust block (51) are both marked (stamped) with the letter 'T'. When installing thrust block (51) in shaft (52), align (match up) the 'T' marks on the thrust block and the shaft. Install six bolts (50) that fasten thrust block (51) to shaft (52). During assembly of the weight assembly, align (match up) the ribs on counter weight (48) with slot (46) on shaft (52). The alignment marks made during the disassembly step should be aligned.9. Install counter weight (48) on shaft (52).10. Install weight (49) on counter weight (48). When installing shaft (47) make sure the slot in the outside diameter of the shaft is aligned with the ribs on counter weight (48) and slot (64) on shaft (52).11. Position shaft (47) on counter weight (48).12. Install Tooling (F) on the weight assembly. Attach a lifting strap and hoist to Tooling (F), and remove the weight assembly from Tooling (A). Do not remove Tooling (F) from the weight assembly at this time.13. Apply 9S-3263 Thread lock on the threads of eight bolts (36) that hold the weight assembly together. Install the eight bolts, the eight locks and 16 nuts (35).
