1. Remove the panel assembly from the right side of the rear frame. 2. Use tool (A) to remove oil filter (1) from the base. 3. Remove tube assemblies (2), (3), (4) and (5) from the engine. 4. Remove the bolts that hold tube assemblies (7) and (8) to the cylinder block. Remove the bolts that hold oil filter base (6) and remove base (6) and tube assemblies (7) and (8) from the engine as a unit.5. Remove tube assemblies (7) and (8) from base (6).Install Oil Filter Base
1. Put clean oil on the O-ring seals for tube assemblies (2) and (3). Install the tube assemblies in the bottom of base (1).2. Put clean oil on the O-ring seals for base (1) and put the base and tube assemblies in position as a unit. Install the gaskets and bolts to hold tube assemblies (2) and (3) in position. 3. Install tube assemblies (4), (5) and (6). 4. Install tube assembly (7).5. Put clean engine oil on the filter seal. Install filter (8) on the base. Tighten the filter 3/4 turn more after the seal makes contact with the filter base.6. Install the panel assembly to the right side of the rear frame.Disassemble Oil Filter Base
start by:a) remove oil filter base 1. Remove three bolts (1) and covers (2) for the bypass valves.2. Remove the springs and plungers from the base.Assemble Oil Filter Base
1. Install plunger (4), spring (3), cover (2) and bolts (1) for the cooler bypass valve in the oil filter base.2. Install plunger (7), spring (6), cover (5) and the bolts for the oil filter bypass valve in the oil filter base.end by:a) install oil filter base
