HOOD GP-ENGINE 2U8801 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect water line (1).2. Remove four bolts (2) and remove elbow (3) and gaskets. 3. Remove fumes disposal tube (4). Remove water line (8) and then remove water temperature regulator (7) and housing.4. Remove nuts (6), washers and spacers. Remove exhaust manifold (5) and its gaskets. The following steps are for the installation of the exhaust manifold.5. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the plugs installed in the manifold and on the studs that hold manifold.6. Put the exhaust manifold (5) and its gaskets in position with nuts (6), washers and spacers. Tighten the nuts in number sequence to torque of 52 7 N m (38 5 lb ft). See Illustration A51108P1 for the nut tightening sequence.
