Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Prior to installation, lubricate all seals with clean oil.

Install covers (38), the new O-ring seals, half flanges (37), and bolts (36).

Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of guide (35) and plug (33). Install guide (35) into the spool. Tighten guide (35) to a torque of 7 0.5 N m (63 4 lb in). Install ball (34) and plug (33) into guide (35). Tighten plug (33) to a torque of 7 0.5 N m (63 4 lb in).
Repeat Step 2 for the other side of the spool.

Install spool (32) into the block.

Install guide (31), spring (30), spacer (29), sleeve (28), and new O-ring seal (27) into the block.

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Install cover (26) onto the block. Install bolts (25). Tighten bolts (25) to a torque of 80 8 N m (59 6 lb ft).
Repeat Step 5 through Step 6 for the remaining cover.

Assemble the relief valves (8).
Install seat (9).
Install springs (12) and (17).
Install backup rings (19) and new O-ring seal (13) into the piston.
Install piston (18) into the body.
Install backup ring (22) and new O-ring seal (21) into the stop.
Install stop (14) and screw (15) into the body.
Install nut (24). Tighten nut (24) to a torque of 130 13 N m (96 10 lb ft).
Install backup rings (11) and new O-ring seal (10).
Install new O-ring seal (20) onto the relief valve.

Install relief valves (8) into the block. Tighten relief valves (8) to a torque of 540 50 N m (398 37 lb ft).

Install valves (7) and springs (6) into the block.

Install new O-ring seals (4) and (5) onto the plugs.

Install plugs (1) and the new O-ring seals into counterbalance valve (3). Tighten plugs (1) to a torque of 76 8 N m (56 6 lb ft). Install plugs (2) and the new O-ring seals into the counterbalance valve. Tighten plugs (2) to a torque of 31 3 N m (274 27 lb in).End By:
