Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Use Tooling (A) in order to measure the amount of force of spring (4) at a height of 51 mm (2.0 inch).
If the measurement of the force from spring (4) on Tooling (A) measures less than 85 10 N (19 2 lb), then spacers (7) must be added.
Spacers (7) must be added until Tooling (A) measures a force of 85 10 N (19 2 lb) at a height of 51 mm (2.0 inch).
Install stem (5), adapter (6) and the O-ring seal. Install spring (4) into selector and pressure control valve (1).
Install spacer (8). Spacer (8) must be installed in order to contact spring (4). Install spacers (7). Spacers (7) must be in contact with adapter (3). Install adapter (3) and the O-ring seal.
Tighten adapters (3) and (6) to a torque of 65 7 N m (48 5 lb ft). End By:
Install the selector and pressure control valve.
