start by:a) remove glow plugsb) remove fuel injection valves1. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. The capacity of the system is 8 U.S. gal. (30 liter). 2. Loosen precombustion chambers (1) with tool (A). Remove the precombustion chambers from the cylinder head.Install Precombustion Chambers
TYPICAL EXAMPLE1. Install a new O-ring seal (2) on the precombustion chamber.2. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the precombustion chamber threads. Install the thinner gasket on the precombustion chamber. 3. Put liquid soap on the bore in the cylinder head and O-ring seal (2). Install precombustion chamber (1) in the cylinder head. Tighten the chamber to a torque of 150 10 lb.ft. (205 14 N m) with tool (A).4. If the opening for the glow plug is not in the "GO" range position, remove the precombustion chamber and install a new gasket as shown in the illustration.5.
