Apply Tooling (E) on pin assembly (5) . Install pin assembly (5) into the front end of stub boom (4) . Install plate (7) and three bolts (6) on each end of pin assembly (5) .
Attach a suitable lifting device to fore boom cylinder (8) . Raise fore boom cylinder (8) slightly.
Attach Tooling (A) to pin assembly (5) and under fore boom cylinder (8) . Lower fore boom cylinder (8) onto Tooling (A) .
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oils can cause burns.To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the work tool hydraulic circuit (boom, stick, bucket, and swing), travel circuits, and the hydraulic oil tank at the filler cap before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.Remove the filler cap only when the engine is stopped and the filler cap is cool enough to touch.
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".

Disconnect hose assemblies (9) from the block that is located at the head end of the fore boom cylinder. Install plugs into the block and on both hose assemblies (9) . This procedure will prevent oil loss. This procedure also prevents contaminants from entering the hydraulic system.
Disconnect the tube assembly for grease that is located at the head end of the fore boom cylinder.

Remove clamps (10) that secure hose assemblies to the right side of stub boom (4) .
Disconnect hose assemblies (11) from the fore boom cylinder. Install plugs onto the fore boom cylinder and on both hose assemblies (11) . This procedure will prevent oil loss. This procedure also prevents contaminants from entering the hydraulic system.

Raise radiator access door (12) . The radiator access door is located on radiator enclosure (13) . Use the support rod to secure radiator access door (12) in the open position.

Remove bolts (15) and the washers. Remove sound suppression liner (14) by lifting the liner from the upper support.

Remove four bolts (16) and the washers. The bolts are located inside radiator enclosure (13) .

Remove the nut, the washers, and bolt (17) . The nut, the washers, and bolt (17) are located beneath the inside right corner of radiator enclosure (13) .

Remove the nuts, the washers and bolts (18) . The nuts, the washers and bolts (18) are located on the left side of radiator enclosure (13) .

Close and lock radiator access door (12) . Install Tooling (B) on the top of radiator enclosure (13) .
Fasten a suitable lifting device to Tooling (B) . Remove radiator enclosure (13) . The weight of radiator enclosure (13) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb).

Install Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting device to stub boom (4) , as shown. Place a small amount of lifting tension on stub boom (4) .
Install Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to pin assembly (20) . Place a small amount of lifting tension on Tooling (D) .
Remove retaining bolt (19) and
