Introduction
The issue that is identified below does not have a permanent corrective action. Until a permanent action is known, use the interim corrective action that is identified below.Problem
Reports from dealers that All Wheel Steering System (AWS) is not working correctly (rear axle will not move/center). Both lamps on the AWS switches are flashing indicating an error.Solution
If both Lamps on the AWS switches are flashing (error with AWS system), follow the AWS troubleshooting guide in Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS). If the results from the testing show that the sensor is at fault, then replace the sensor with the same part number. Do not forget that the sensor will need calibrating after replacing.
