Start By:a. separation of tracksb. remove axles 1. Install cover (1) on the final drive. Cover (1) was removed when the axles were removed. 2. Adjust bracket (2) on Tooling (A) until dimension (X) is 25.4 mm (1 in). 3. Fasten a hoist and Tooling (A) to final drive (3) as shown.
Do not remove two bolts (4) that hold the steering clutch and brake to the frame.
4. Remove bolts (6) that hold the final drive and steering clutch to the frame.5. Install Tool (B) in the end of Tool (A) to balance the final drive when bolts (5) are removed.6. Remove three bolts (5). Remove the final drive from the machine. The weight of the final drive is 240 kg (530 lb).7. Remove the O-ring seal from the steering clutch and brake housing. The following steps are for installation of the final drive.8. Install the O-ring seal on the steering clutch and brake housing. Put clean oil on the O-ring seal.9. Fasten a hoist and Tooling (A) to final drive (3). Use Tool (B) to balance the final drive. Put final drive (3) in position on the steering clutch and brake housing, and install bolts (5) and (6).10. Remove Tooling (A) from the final drive.11. Remove the three bolts and cover (1) from the final drive.End By:a. install axlesb. connection of tracks
