Drain the transmission into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission and Differential Oil - Change".

Disconnect harness assemblies (1). Remove guard (2).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Loosen bolts (4) evenly. Remove bolts (4). Remove spring plate (5).

Remove lip seal (6).

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retaining ring (7) from spring plate (5). Remove coned disc springs (8) from spring plate (5). Note: Note the orientation of coned disc springs (8) for assembly purposes.

Remove O-ring seal (9) and piston (10).

Remove bolts (12).

Use two people in order to remove housing (13). The weight of housing (13) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb).

Remove discs (14) and plates (15). Remove dowels (17). Note: Note the quantity and the order of discs (14) and plates (15).
Remove hub (16).

Remove pressure sensor (18).
Remove the allen head bolt and the retaining bracket from solenoid (19).
Use a flat head screwdriver to carefully remove solenoid (19). Lift solenoid (19) straight out of the bore.

Remove O-ring seal (20), O-ring seal (21), O-ring seal (22), O-ring seal (23), and O-ring seal (24).

Remove seal (25) from pressure sensor (18).
