To clean the primary air filter element assembly, carefully blow air through the filter element from the side that contains the seals. Use dry compressed air that has a maximum pressure of 500 kPa (74.0 psi). Blow the air through the filter until no dust leaves the filter. Note: When you blow air through the filter, the tip of the air gun must not touch the filter element.Before you assemble the air cleaner, check the bellows on the primary air filter element assembly and the seals on the primary air filter element assembly for damage. If the primary air filter element assembly has any damage, do not reinstall the primary air filter element assembly. If you have any question about the condition of the primary air filter element assembly, install a new primary air filter element assembly.
