HOSE 0804280 - Caterpillar

1. Disconnect hose assemblies (1) from the rotor door cylinder. Cap and plug. 2. Disconnect hose assemblies (2) from the rotor hood cylinder. Cap and plug. 3. Remove bolt (3), nut and washer, each side.4. Remove pin (4), each side.5. Start machine and retract cylinders.
Make sure all lines are capped and plugged before starting machine.
6. Disconnect three hose assemblies (5), one not shown. 7. Remove two bolts (6), washers and nuts, each side. This step allows the front door to swing freely. 8. Disconnect depth control linkage (7). 9. Remove eight bolts (8) and nuts. Reposition the rotor drive shaft. 10. Disconnect electrical connector (9) at rotor differential. 11. Attach clevis pins, spreader bar, and a suitable lifting device to chain guards (10) to support the rotor group. 12. Loosen eight bolts (11), left side only.13. Remove six bolts (12) and nuts. Use shims on left side only, no shims necessary for gaps 1/8" or less. 14. Remove six bolts (13) and nuts.15. Remove rotor group (14). The weight of the rotor group is 19 000 kg (8360 lb). For installation of the rotor group reverse the removal steps.End By:a. Install bolster.
