Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove three bolts (1) and the washers from panel (2) .
Remove two bolts (3), the washers, and panel (2) from the machine.

Remove four bolts (4) and two straps (5) .
Separate drive shaft (6) from the yoke. Apply tape to the bearing caps in order to prevent the caps from falling off the U-joint.

Remove four bolts (8) and two straps (7) .
Separate drive shaft (6) from the yoke. Apply tape to the bearing caps in order to prevent the caps from falling off the U-joint. Remove drive shaft (6) from the machine.

Remove six bolts (9), the washers, support assembly (10), and the drive shaft (hidden).

Use Tooling (A) (not shown) to remove bearing cone (15) and lip seal (14) from yoke (13) .
Remove bearing cups (16) and (17) from support assembly (10) .
