Installation Procedure
Note: Replace all O-ring seals and all seals with new parts.

Install O-ring seal (15) on coolant tube (1) .

Install O-ring seal (14) on coolant tube (6) .

Note: Do not use sealant, adhesive, or lubricants to retain the seals.
Install seal (13) at the bottom of aftercooler core (11). Temporarily secure seal (13) to the bottom of aftercooler core (11) with tape.
Carefully install aftercooler core (11) with a hoist and suitable lifting slings, as shown. The weight of the aftercooler core is 36 kg (80 lb).
Seal (13) must be seated in the correct location in the air inlet manifold.

Install seal (12) on aftercooler core (11) .

Carefully install air inlet elbow (9) and aftercooler cover (10) as a single unit on aftercooler core (11). The weight of air inlet elbow (9) and aftercooler cover (10) is 48 kg (105 lb).

Install six bolts (8) hand tight.

Tighten bolts (8) by using the numerical sequence, as shown. The torque for bolts (8) is 24 N m (18 lb ft).
Tighten bolts (8) again by using the numerical sequence, as shown. The final torque for bolts (8) is 47 N m (35 lb ft).

Place wire harness (7) in position and secure the wire harness with bolt (4), as shown.
Connect tube assembly (5) and coolant tube assembly (6) to the rear of the aftercooler core.

Connect ether starting aid tube assembly (3) to fitting (2) .
Connect coolant tube assembly (1) to the front of the aftercooler core.End By: Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
