Monitor display may time out before the Network Manager can respond to Bulk Data Transfer (BDT) requests such as Truck list or Material list. This issue can be related to the load factor on the device and may be intermittent on some machines. The Network Manager has more work load with each release and more work load can slow down the processing speed. On some devices depending upon what is happening on the device and due to the level of processing speed problem may occur and display that contains the Truck List or Material list may time out before the Network Manager gets the list.Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem and solution is expected in the next release of onboard firmware. Until the next release, the dealers or customer who experience this issue should attempt to cycle key power. The key should remain off for a minimum of 5 to 10 minutes.Caterpillar recommends the operator to monitor radio lights to ensure that the Cat® Product Link devices complete full power down before restarting. Performing a reboot of the device should reload the missing list data. Alternately, if the key cycle does not correct the issue the operator could also try the power disconnect switch for 30 seconds or longer to affect the reboot process.
