MODELS INVOLVED - 323D, 324D and 325D Excavators That Are Equipped With Ditch Cleaning Front Parts (Super Long Reach)
Dear Caterpillar Product Owner:
The heavy lift solenoid and drain dual main relief valve needs to be removed on the products listed below. The existing heavy lift function is not compatible with ditch cleaning front parts. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 20Dec2007 when scheduling this service.
We regret the inconvenience this may cause you, but urge you to have this service performed as soon as possible to prevent unscheduled downtime.

Rework Procedure
1. Disconnect and remove the 121-6303 Valve Group Solenoid and 269-9919 Plate.
2. Disconnect and remove the 0875766 Hose from DRF3.
3. Disconnect and remove the 0874402 Hose from PSA2.
4. Add a 3J1907 Seal-O-Ring and a 9S4191 STOR Plug on PSA2.
5. Drain the dual main relief replacing the 4I6248 Hose with a 7Y5088 Hose and connecting to DRF3 of the pilot manifold.

6. Navigate on the monitor to the service mode and
then to configurations/atch parts inst/heavy lift. Change the status from installed to not installed of heavy lift
