Description of Change: The following changes have been made to the electronic thermostats:
The thermostat motor cavity has been redesigned to prevent moisture entry
The thermostat motor wiring harness has been rotated 180 degrees in order to eliminate moisture entry through the wiring connector.
A drain has been added to allow any potential moisture inside of the housing to drain. The drain also eliminates retention or collection of moisture caused by condensation.
Heat shrink has been added to the wiring connections to minimize the possibility of moisture to enter the wiring connections.
An O-ring has been added between the motor and the motor mount assembly
The motor cover has been redesigned to use a gasket between the motor housing and motor cover.
The wiring connection at the thermostat motor housing has been redesigned to prevent moisture entry to the thermostat motor.
A label with additional work instructions on opening and closing the valve manually has been added.Adaptable To: The new 387-8211 Thermostatic Valve Gp and 387-8214 Thermostatic Valve Gp are adaptable back to first production of the serial numbers listed above.The 399-8134 Electric Motor Kit and 399-8135 Motor Kit are available to retrofit current engines using original electronic thermostat groups.
