- - - During assembly, the rear face of the housing and the front face of the cylinder block must be free of oil, fuel, water, dirt, assembly compounds, and any other contaminants.
1 1 0L-2070 Bolt Length of 3/8 inch thread bolt is 57.15 mm (2.250 inch).
2 1 0T-0055 Bolt Length of 3/8 inch thread bolt is 107.95 mm (4.250 inch).
3 8 5P-4255 Locking Bolt Use the following procedure in order to tighten the bolts that fasten the plate to the cylinder block:
1. Tighten the locking bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
2. Again tighten the locking bolts to 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft).
4 10 0S-1588 Bolt Length of 3/8 inch thread bolt is 31.75 mm (1.250 inch).
5 1 166-9144 Gasket After assembly, trim the gasket and flush the gasket with the face of the housing.
6 1 155-9524 Integral Seal Before installation, apply ultra blue Loctite 587 to bottom of the integral seal to block joint.
- - - Apply ultra blue Loctite 587 in order to fill the space at the connecting joint of the front plate, oil pan gasket, and cylinder block.
