Refer to Illustration 10. Remove seal (8) and insulation (15). Discard both parts. Clean any residual material from the metal surfaces.

Refer to Illustration 11. Modify the platform. Remove the three shaded areas that are shown. Grind the cut edges smooth.
Weld the pin (3) in position at the location that is shown in detail A. Provide a 3 mm (0.12 inch) fillet weld all around as shown.
Drill and tap two M12 holes at the locations that are shown.
Put the platform aside for painting.

Modify the rear frame assembly. Drill and tap eight M12 holes at the locations that are shown in the appropriate illustration.Note: Use cardboard and the pattern of the spacer on the TOPS canopy to create a template. This image can then be transferred to the rear frame to determine the eight M12 hole locations.

Note: When you drill the two holes that are circled below, the hole may extend into the vertical plates below. The depth of the hole must be enough to allow proper thread depth without the bolt bottoming out.

When the TOPS canopy, the platform and the rear frame modifications are complete, paint the modified areas.
Fix seal (8) and insulation (7) to the platform. Place the seal and the insulation in the same place as the old parts that are shown in Illustration 11.
Assemble the platform and the TOPS canopy to the machine. Refer to Illustration 15 for the location of the new hardware items in the TOPS canopy.
Assemble the new plastic cover (6) and the new grab handle (4) to the machine. Refer to Illustration 16 for the location of the new hardware items in the handle group.
Cover the redundant hole in the plastic cover with film (5). The redundant hole is the hole that would be used for the former grab handle on machines that do not have the modification.
