Adjustment Procedure
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.

(1) Locknut
(2) Rod adjuster
(3) Brake control valve
(4) Pressure tap (brake)
Loosen locknut (1) on rod adjuster (2).Note: Adjusting the rod is easier, if the service brake pedal has been released.
Turn rod adjuster (2) until the active service brake pressure has been met. Refer to Table 1 for the correct pressure.
While rod adjuster (2) is being held, tighten locknut (1) to the specified torque.
Proceed to the "Test Procedure".Auto Service Brake Check
Use the monitor in the cab to enable the "Auto Service Brake".

Press the "Menu" key to display the main menu options.

Use the arrows to select "Performance" mode from the "Main Menu". Press the "OK" key.

Use the arrows to select "Brake Settings" mode from the "Performance" menu. Press the "OK" key.

Use the arrows to select "Auto Service Brake" mode from the "Brake Settings" menu.
Use the arrow to "Enable" the "Auto Service Brake". Press"OK" when done.

Parking brake button located on the soft panel switch
Push down on the parking brake button to deactivate the parking brake.Note: The indicator light will be not illuminated when the parking brake control is deactivated.

Transmission control button located on the soft panel switch
Push down on the transmission control button to select FIRST GEAR.Note: The first indicator light will illuminate when the transmission is in FIRST GEAR.
Check the active auto brake pressure at pressure tap (4). Refer to Table 1 for the correct pressure.
Proceed to the "Test Procedure".Inactive Service Brake Pressure
Test Procedure
Note: The Active Service "Test Procedure" must be performed before Inactive Service "Test Procedure".
Release the service brake.
Stop the engine.
Raise the left console.
Disconnect tooling (B2) 34,450 kPa (5,000 psi) pressure gauge from pressure tap (4).
Connect tooling (B2) 3,445 kPa (500 psi) pressure gauge to pressure tap (4).

Start the engine, but do not depress the service brake pedal.
Use the monitor in the cab to disable the "Auto Service Brake".
Check the inactive brake pressure at pressure tap (4). Refer to Table 1 for the correct pressure.
If the inactive brake residual pressure exceeds specifications, perform the "Adjustment Procedure".Adjustment Procedure

Service brake pedal
(5) Stop screw
(6) Locknut
Loosen locknut (6) on stop screw (5).
Turn stop screw (5) clockwise until the active service brake pressure has been met. Refer to Table 1 for the correct pressure.
While stop screw (5) is being held, tighten locknut (6) to the specified torque.
Repeat Step 6 through Step 9 of the "Test Procedure" until the inactive service brake pressure has been met.
