Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to install bearings (19) to a depth of 1.5 0.25 mm (0.06 0.010 inch) below the machined surface of pump body (4).Note: The bearing joints must be oriented 30 degrees from the centerline as shown.

Install woodruff keys (18) and retaining rings (16).
Use a suitable press to install gears (17) onto shafts (14) and (15).

Install plug (16) and the O-ring seal.
Install shafts (14) and (15) into body assembly (4).

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press to install bearings (10) to a depth of 1.5 0.25 mm (0.06 0.010 inch) below the machined surface of adapter (5).Note: The bearing joints must be oriented 45 degrees from the centerline as shown.
Install O-ring seal (11) and dowels (12) onto adapter (5).

Orient the open faces away from retaining ring (8).
Install plug (9) into adapter (5). Tighten plug (9) to a torque of 9 2 N m (80 18 lb in).
Install lip seal (8), retaining ring (7), and lip seal (6) into adapter (4). Lubricate the lip seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.Note: Retaining ring (7) must be lined up with the weep hole.

Install adapter (5) onto body assembly (4).
Install bolts (1), washers (2), and seal washers (3) into body assembly (4).End By:
Install the gear pump.
