HOSE AS 1251211 - Caterpillar

(1) Disconnect wiring harness (1) from the windshield wiper motor. Remove windshield wiper arms (2), the motor and bracket (3). Remove windshield glass (4) and seal (5). Use an ARCAIR torch or similar tool to remove grab irons (6). (2) Put windshield group (7) in position on front of the ROPS; use the holes in hinge (8) as a guide to mark the location for six holes (A). Use a 3.0 (.12") fillet weld to fasten 2G9265 Brackets (9) on the back side of both front legs of the ROPS at the locations shown. Use a 7.0Ø (.28"Ø) drill bit to make six holes (A) and two holes (B) as shown. Use a 18.0Ø (.72"Ø) drill bit to make hole (C). (3) Install windshield group (7) and 6G839 Strip (10) on the ROPS with six S1616 Bolts, 5P537 Washers and 1B4330 Nuts. Fasten levers (12) to brackets (9) and to each side of the windshield. The lever with section (D) must be toward the windshield. Install 2G9485 Seal (13) around the opening where the former glass was removed. Install 2G9266 Clip (14) with an S1615 Bolt, 5P537 Washers and 1B4330 Nut. (4) Install wiper motor and bracket (3) and spacer (15) with the former hardware. It may be necessary to make a 45° chamfer on each end of spacer (15) to get clearance around vents (16). Install wiper arms (2). Connect 2G9276 Harness Assembly to the wiper switch connectors and to the wiper motor. Fasten the harness with 4D7794 Clip. (5) Use a 5.0 (.20") fillet weld all around to weld 7D5042 Grab Iron (17) and 7D4533 Grab Iron (18) on the front of the ROPS at approximately the location shown. On 621, 623 or 627 Tractors not already so equipped, install 8D8083 Hood Side Door Assembly (19) to keep engine heat away from the operator.
