Use a ring lug and wire to connect the ground strap to the nearest ground point on the machine chassis.Note: The conductive flat surface of the lug must be directly connected to a conductive surface that is bonded to the machine chassis.
Install engine wiring group (37) onto the field installation group.Reference: Special Instruction, REHS9785, "Instructions for Installing AssetIQ for Engine Systems on Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar Products"

Cut two 7.6 m (24.93 ft) length from cable assembly (38). At one end of cable assembly (38), remove 25.4 mm (1.00 inch) of insulation and foil shield. Install connector socket (39) to the ends of White, Red and Black wires. Install connector plug assembly (40), as shown in Illustration 21.Note: Securely crimp each connector to the wires to ensure a good connection.Note: Cable assembly (38) will be for the pressure sensor on the module.
Remove 25.4 mm (1.00 inch) of insulation and foil shield on wiring harness (43). Remove the exposed shield drain line. Install connector socket (39) to the ends of White, Red and Black wires. Install connector socket (39) into connector plug assembly (41), as shown in Illustration 21.Install
