HOSE AS 1336416 - Caterpillar

Raised hopper wings can unexpectedly swing down and cause a crushing hazard which could result in serious injury or death. Always engage the hopper travel locks in order to secure the hopper in the raised position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hopper Travel Lock" for directions on engaging the hopper travel lock.
Illustration 1 g01442363There is a hopper travel lock pin on either side of the machine.The locks are used in order to hold the hopper in a closed position for travel.Use the following procedure in order to safely store the hopper.
Raise the left hopper and the right hopper.
Move both hopper lock pins to the locked position.
Lower the left hopper and the right hopper until the left hopper and the right hopper rest on the pins.
