Remove the bottom guards.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for draining and filling procedures.
Open the left side engine door and remove the side guard.

Remove clips (2), remove fitting nut (3), and position oil gauge assembly (1) out of the way. Discard fitting nut (3).

Disconnect clips (4) and reposition hoses (5).
Illustration 3 g03609776Note: Do not pry or gouge the sealing surface of the engine oil pan. Use a rubber mallet to tap lightly on the engine oil pan, if necessary.
Remove bolts (6). Remove engine oil pan (7) and the gasket. Installation Procedure
Install engine oil pan (7) in the reverse order of removal.

Tooling (A) should be applied at Locations (X) for a width of 4.00 1.00 mm (0.158 0.040 inch). Apply Tooling (A) to the joints. The engine oil pan (7) should be installed within 10 minutes of applying Tooling (A).

Tightening sequence for the engine oil pan
Tighten bolts (6) in the sequence that is shown in Illustration 5.
Tighten fitting nut (3) into oil gauge assembly (1) until the sleeve separates and is firmly attached to the tube.
