1100 and 3100 Series EnginesDescription of Change: An improved air cleaner group is now available for the above engines. The new air cleaner has a cover which is held in place by a strap and two rods which fasten to the brackets on the outside of the body. (See illustration.) The former air cleaner had a stud to hold the cover to the body and failure was possible because of vibrations (see illustration). The new air cleaner group also has a different element assembly. In addition, a screen and gasket assembly has been made available for use at the air inlet of either the new air cleaner group or the former one. The screen in the air inlet gasket assembly will not permit foreign material to fall into the air inlet pipe during installation or service to the air cleaner.

Former air cleaner group.Adaptable As: The new 7N1427 Air Cleaner Group is a direct replacement for the former 3N3212 Air Cleaner Group which is canceled. The new 7N1426 Gasket is a direct replacement for the former 3N2903 Gasket.
