A new 288-0422 Crankshaft Front Seal has been introduced. This will improve the retention of the seal in the front housing.The improved seal can be visually identified by ribs around the circumference of the seal.When the Crankshaft Front Seal is replaced, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankshaft Front Seal - Install" for the correct procedure.
