PROBLEM
The existing thrust washer can wear prematurely at the retaining slots on certain 785D Off-Highway trucks. If the existing thrust washer fails it can cause unplanned machine downtime.

ACTION REQUIRED
After failure or during PCR of the rear wheel groups, modify the 8X-6761 Cover, and the 8W-3121 Planetary Carrier to install additional dowels as described in Service Magazine M0095069.

If there has been a previous repair, part age/hours will apply. Retain a copy of the previous repair invoice in the dealer's records for audit purposes, and specify repair date and machine hours in the "Additional Comments" section of the warranty claim.
For repairs completed at PCR, a claim allowance of $500 USD will be allowed for the modification of the carrier and cover. No parts or other labor can be claimed on a PCR repair.
For a repair not completed during PCR this is a 12-hour job. An allowance of $500 USD will be allowed for the modification of the carrier and cover. A report documenting the failure including pictures and component hours must accompany the claim.
This program can be claimed once per rear wheel group. Provide the serial number of the component with the claim.
