Procedure To Install Terrain Steering Switch
Tools Needed:
1. IQAN-Talk software kit. (Media number: NETG5025 or NETG5026)2. Amp connector pin puller. Machine Preparation:
1. Turn the two disconnect switches to the OFF position.2. Remove the cover from the rear of the cab in order to access the fuse panel and IQAN computer modules. Procedure:
1. Remove the front and rear switch panels and the right ROPS post cover.2. Drill a hole large enough for the connector on the 168-4800 Handle Gp to fit through, centered between the existing mounting screw holes. See picture 1.3. Route the wiring from the 168-4800 Handle Gp through the hole. 4. Mount the 168-4800 Handle using (4) 8T-4189 bolts and (4) 8T-4224 washers, and reinstall the right ROPS post cover. See picture 2.5. Connect wiring harness labeled X54 and 168-4800 Handle Gp to the empty connector labeled X54 in"side the right hand console.6. Inside the rear fuse panel, locate wire number X725 (gray) in the pin 5 position of the connector on the XP IQAN computer module.7. Remove wire X725 from this connector and insert it into the pin 5 position of the connector on the MG IQAN module.8. Download the appropriate .iqa flash file from SIS to your laptop. See the required software list for the correct part number to use. 9. Use the procedure outlined in your IQANtalk User Manual; section 10-"Updating the application software" to upload the ".IQA" file to your machine. You should likely choose to reuse the machine specific settings during the import portion of the update since it will keep the adjusted settings for loader functions, etc (amperages for different functions, etc). Also, there may be channels in the new application file that the current machine file does not contain. This is not a problem, since the application file will have some base settings.
