Machine Preparation
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Start the engine.

Engine speed dial
Set the engine speed dial at "10".
Lower the left console.
Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors for the best vision close to the machine.
Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 46 to 80° C (115 to 176° F).
Lower the stabilizers, the blade tip.
Fully extend the bucket cylinder and place the bucket on the ground.
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "System Pressure - Release".
Raise the left console.

Connect tooling (B2) 41,368 kPa (6,000 psi) pressure sensor to pressure tap (4) .
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Start the engine.
Set the engine speed dial at "10".
Lower the left console.

Power mode control button located on the soft panel switch
Push down on the power mode control button in order to activate power mode.Note: The indicator light will be illuminated when power mode is activated.
Use the Monitor in the cab in order to disable the Automatic Engine Speed Control.
Select the "Performance" menu from the main menu on the monitor.
Select "AESC Status" from the "Performance" menu and change the value to "Inactive".
Press the "OK" key.

Joystick (front switch)
Disable the hydraulic modulation control, if equipped. Press the front switch on the right joystick in order to deactivate hydraulic modulation.
The air conditioning should be turned off for the following test.Test Procedure
Slowly move the joystick to the full SWING LEFT position and to the full SWING RIGHT position.
Check the pressure reading at pressure tap (4) for the swing cutoff pressure for swing left. Check the pressure at pressure tap (4) for the swing cutoff pressure for swing right. Note: Refer to Table 2 in this manual for the correct pressure.
If the swing cutoff pressure is not set to the proper specification, refer to the following "Adjustment Procedure".Adjustment Procedure

Loosen locknut (2) on adjustment screw (1) for high-pressure cutoff valve (3) .
Turn adjustment screw (1) for high-pressure cutoff valve (3) clockwise in order to increase the pressure and turn adjustment screw (1) for high-pressure cutoff valve (3) counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure.Note: Make the final pressure adjustment on the pressure rise.
Tighten locknut (2) on adjustment screw (3) for high-pressure cutoff valve (3) to the specified torque.Worksheet
