Start By:
Remove the transmission hydraulic control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Hydraulic Control Valve - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contamination of the hydraulic system with foreign material will reduce the service life of the hydraulic system components.To prevent contaminants from entering the hydraulic system, always plug or cap the lines, fittings, or hoses as they are disconnected. Cover any disassembled components and clean them properly before assembly.Clean the hydraulic system properly after any major component exchange or especially after a component failure, to remove any contamination.
For assembly purposes, put identification marks on all components so that components are not misplaced between hydraulic control valves.

Remove bolts (1) and cover assembly (3) from actuator body (9). Remove cover assembly (3) from actuator body (9). Use Tooling (A) to remove the bearing from cover assembly (3) .
Remove bolts (2) that secure rotor vane (8) to actuator body (9). Remove actuator rotor (7) and rotor vane (8) from actuator body (9). Remove bolts (6) and the dowels that secure rotor vane (8) to actuator rotor (7) .
Remove actuator body (9) from selector pressure control valve (11) and spool assembly (10). Use Tooling (A) to remove the bearing from actuator body (9) .
Remove plugs (4) and the O-ring seals from actuator body (9). Remove each valve assembly that is contained by plugs (4) from actuator body (9). Remove dowels (5) from actuator body (9) .
