Information:


A high pressure fuel line must be disconnected. To avoid personal injury or fire from fuel spray, the engine must be stopped before the fuel line is disconnected.
Contact to high pressure fuel can cause personal injury or death. Do not allow high pressure fuel to contact your skin.
Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "System Pressure Release"
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.

Use Tooling (A) to remove fuel filters (1). Note: The fuel filter housing will contain residual fuel. Drain the fuel from the filter housing and filter element into a suitable container for storage or disposal.

Disconnect harness assemblies (2) and tube assemblies (3) .

Disconnect cover (4) and position out of the way.

Remove bolts (5) .

Remove bolts (6). Remove fuel filter base assembly (7) .

Remove bolts (8). Remove fuel pump adapter (9) .

Remove bolts (10). Remove cover (11) and gasket (12) from pump adapter (9) .

Remove bolts (13) to separate fuel filter base (14) and fuel filter base (15) .

Remove O-ring seals (16) .

Remove shield (17) and taperlock stud (18). Repeat this procedure for the remaining fuel filter base assembly.Installation Procedure
Install fuel filter base (15), fuel filter base (14), and fuel filters (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (B) onto taperlock stud (18) .
Tighten taperlock stud (18) to a torque of 68 7 N m (50 5 lb ft).
Apply a thin film of clean fuel to new fuel filter assembly. Install the fuel filter assembly hand tight until the seal is in contact with fuel filter base assembly. Use Tooling (A) in order to tighten the fuel filter assembly for an additional 3/4 turn. Repeat this procedure for the remaining fuel filter assembly.
Prime the fuel system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System - Prime".
