Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the hood.
Remove the flexible exhaust pipe.
Remove the soot antenna.
Remove the nitrogen oxide sensor (inlet).
Remove the nitrogen oxide sensor (outlet).
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Drain the coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedure.

Remove pipe assembly (1). Cut cable straps (2).

Disconnect hose assemblies (3), (4) and (6). Disconnect harness assembly (7). Disconnect clips (5).

Attach a suitable lifting device to clean emissions module (8). The weight of clean emissions module (8) is approximately 132 kg (290 lb).
Remove bolts (9) and clean emissions module (8).Installation Procedure
Install clean emissions module (8) in the reverse order of removal.
